New Faces- Part 2

Shόki’s POV

“Remember to kill any thing that threatens you!” mom called as she handed Sháka and my weapons we smiled with a nod “Of course Oka-Sama” we said in fusion she smiled and father walked towards us he put one hand on my shoulder and the other on Sháka’s “Try to return safe, wouldn’t want your mother worrying right?” he asked we nodded with a bow and turned to be met by our uncle Dante with his pregnant human wife Kairi she had long flowing black hair that went to her mid back with purple eyes and wore a royal white and light purple kimono with a floral pattern on the sleeves.

“Ah, it looks as if we came just in time no Kairi?” Uncle Dante asked his wife who nodded with a smile and a bow we slightly bowed to the both of them “We’ve came to wish you luck on your adventure dear Oí’s” he said with a small smile we smiled back “Thank you Ojí-Sama” we gave one another a hug before walking once more but once again were stopped but this time by the villagers in our land.

They were all bowing to us chanting our names “The Princes are off, we wish you luck!” they said bowing we smiled to them “Thank you dear villagers we will make sure our village is safe” I said with a slight bow.

And we finally made it out of our village we heard a loud roar we turned to see Zuko flying down to us tied on his neck was a small note that read: ”Shόki, Sháka just to be sure you are safe I have decided to lend you Zuko but be sure to keep away from water he gets cranky and be sure to feed him plenty of cooked rabbit he will be in a better mood-Mother” I smiled and we both turned back to see the view of the village our castle was huge it was a large elegant royal blue and white feudal temple castle the village was also well made for the villagers mother and father decided to build a village for us to grow up in and then one thing lead to another and now they rule a village.

“Let’s go everyone” I said Sháka nodded and we jumped onto Zuko and flew up into the air a few miles of flying we sense a few demons and also very familiar scent “Hey Sháka you sense that?” I ask he nods looking serious as we look down at the ground and notice there’s a lot of cobwebs I smirk “looks like it didn’t it us long enough to find us a fight huh?” Sháka only nods once again “But we should do something about them they are getting way too close to our village…” Sháka mutters lowly I nod “Yeah you are right about that, let’s go and have some fun!” Zuko flies closer to the ground and we jump down we look and see James and some little girl

“I heard a call for help from my weak little cousin James” I say with a imitating smirk he gave me a smile “I can see you haven’t changed much Shόki” he said I stare down at him intently “I could say the same James” the little girl looks at James and back at us “Are you guys gonna talk all day?!” she whines I give her a small glare but replace it with a charming smile “Of course little girl leave this to us we can handle anything that comes our way so just sit back and relax” Sháka and I face the demon with its spiders crawling off it “Gross…” I mutter I pull out my Futtó-Eikó “Boiling Glory” the demon shakes in fear I smirk “T-That’s…” it shrieks in horror “Oh? You know of this don’t you?” I say with my smirk growing and I glare at her with my eyes burning with amusement.

It starts to back away knowing what exactly this scythe could do to her and her babies “It would be best to leave this place but knowing how spider demons feast on humans and weak demons in order to help grow their babies I must end this so…forgive us but I promise it will be over…soon” I mutter with a smirk Sháka pulls out a medium length sword with his name engraved on the side in Kanji, he quickly teleports behind the demon and slices its back, the blood oozes out of its back and the spider screams in pain it then tries to moves but the spider babies carry it farther away from us and heals the attack.

Sháka and I both glare at the spider as it smirks “Brother…”Sháka says lowly I turn to him “It seems as trying to attack the spider will do us no aid I believe if we strike at its nest we will succeed in this battle” I nod “Right that makes sense” I then swing my scythe in the air it then begins to burst into flames and I then stop in mid swing and throw it at the spiders they begin to scream in pain and Sháka then teleports out of my eye sight he is probably looking for the nest.

The spider growls looking at its dead babies “You wretched boy I will eat you alive!” it screams I roll my eyes “Said the itsy bitsy spider that went up the water sprout” the spider than began to grow bigger before my eyes “Not so itsy bitsy anymore…” I muttered under my breath with a smile it charged at me “Uh Sháka any moment you can kill that nest!” I yelled not leaving the spiders gaze

“I’m working on it” he muttered I waved my hand in the air and the scythe came back quickly behind the spider slicing it in half but it regenerated seconds later and kept running towards me slower but not letting go on the whole revenge thing

I sighed “Persistent f****r you are…” I then jumped in the air and saw Sháka destroy the nest I smirked “And down came the fire and killed the spider out!” I yelled slicing it once again as my flames burned the remaining chunks of the now dead demon.

I turn to James and the little girl who is hovered over him scared Sháka walks over to him and hands him a tiny jar with a bright blue substance “W-what is it?” James asks “Its Spider anti-venom it should quickly heal up the venom” James thanks Sháka and chugs the blue substance and quickly stands up “I feel much better thank you two for helping us back there we’d probably be goners!” he says with a smile the girl growled and hit him at the back of his head

“If you didn’t take your eyes off her we wouldn’t have been in this mess stupid!” she yells James smiles nervously and scratches his cheek shyly

“Yeah I guess your right huh?” he says the little girl only rolls her eyes

“James, who is this little girl?” I ask looking at her Sháka then elbows me in my side I growl at him and turn to him quickly and glares at him

“Idiot, Mother told us about her she is our little cousin Jenna…”

I nod slowly now actually remembering her saying that I laugh loudly and rub the back of my head “Oh yeah!” Everyone looks at me like they were thinking rude things about me but didn’t say anything I was angered by this “Shut up!” I yelled

“Brother no one said anything…” Sháka said “I know what the hell you guys were thinking!”

Everyone lightly laughs as I glare at them but quickly smile and laugh along as well, but our laughing was cut short by a pair of hands clapping behind us.

We all turn to see a man with long blonde hair going to his mid back with bright golden eyes on the side of his head were long black horns wearing a long Kimono with black until it hits his knees where it then becomes white until it hits his ankles where it ends with a light blue and then turns to black once again and on his sleeves as well the patterns are a snowflake like design of dark blue and light blue with gold in the middle he carries a dark blue umbrella. This man stares down at us intently with an evil grin he then stops clapping “It seems you have just came to a great party my friends but we must wait for our other two guests” he says we all are confused as to what this man is saying but I don’t like him one bit.

 

Kōri's POV:

I could still smell the sea breeze miles away as the wind pushed against my snow white cloak as Brother and I walked miles away from the sea, the closest entrance to land from Mother's domain towards the eastern mountains of the land, we needed to go through the pass in order to reach the western lands. Against the mountains villages dotted the land. The road that we were walking on would take us to one of those villages, towards the pass.

Brother walked beside me in a bad mood. His arms crossed behind his head, he had on his green tunic with dark pants, as well as the left black shoulder guard and metal black boots, with his slightly torn gray cloak, as well as his sword Arashi (Storm) on his left hip. His eyes were closed, hidden by the messy red hair that always seemed to get into his eyes. He looked the most like mother, with the same out of control red hair, I looked down to see my plain straight black hair lying over my shoulder resting on my green kimono. Jealously washed over me that Sora was able to get Mother's hair and all I got was Fathers.

"So do you know why mom wants us to deliver the bracelets to these people?" Sora asked me, stretching still in a bad mood. He crossed his arms across his chest.

"Mother said that their belated wedding gifts for Lord Sesshomaru and Lady LaDeja as well as Inuyasha and Breanna: Mother's old friends who killed Naraku." I answered him taking out the jeweled bracelets from my pouch having to readjust my sword Ame (Rain) in order to get to them. The gems sparkled in the sun, dotting the band. The bracelets were twins able to allow those who wore them to contact the other no matter the distance.

I quickly put it back in the pouch and flicked my hood up as a group of heavily armed men dressed in red walked towards us; they bore the flag of the Red Bear Raiders. They were a group of bandits who had been attacking the villages around the mountains where the Eastern Wolf Clan's territory is.

The leader of the group was a giant compared to the men that followed him. He held a giant sword that he leaned against his shoulder. His burly beard bouncing against his chest with every step. His eyes watched us with a deep hunger seeming to assess us.

Just as we passed them the leader apparently assuming that we were just regular travelers, as my bow and sword are hidden by the cloak I wore and Sora's sword did not seem threatening, said: "Boys, apparently they didn't know the fee." the group of bandits jeered.

We stopped and turned around Sora replying sarcastically: "What fee?"

"Well the fee for peasants to pass any and each member of the Red Bear Raiders. And everyone has to pay It." the leader sneered at Brother. "Or else-"

"Or else what? Gonna make me look at that ugly mug of yours?" Sora said smirking. A few of the bandit members laughed.

The leader's face got burning red "You ignorant b*****d!" He charged at us sword pointing at Sora's chest. I pulled my bow off of my shoulders and reached behind me to the pouch of water I kept at the small of my back. I pulled away from it, willing it to turn into an arrow of ice, nocking my bow, taking aim at the Raider Leader and releasing it in the matter of a second.

 

 

Sora’s POV:

As soon as Kōri released her ice arrow at Beard Face, which he dodged, it gave me just enough to take out my sword and cut his B*****d Sword into three pieces. They clinked down onto the ground. His face was one of shock. I then plunged Arashi into Beard Face's stomach.

His underlings started yelling and I felt Kōri close behind me. She hated people to see her; it made her feel exposed and vulnerable. Anger filled my heart, and just as I was about to charge at the other members of the Red Bear Raiders, I heard wolves howling and a blur of white and brown seemed to fly off the mountain and cut down the rest of the Raiders. In only a few moments the rest of the Raiders were nothing.

The two figures stopped moving and the Wolf Demon said: "You two should be more careful in these parts the Raiders are at a feud with any and all of the Wolf Demon's in this area. You should already know that Sora."

I replied "Yeah I know Koga. We had it under control." Koga, our father had changed in the year that Kōri and I hadn't seen him. His face looked older, as he had grown out a goatee. He had on the Wolf Demon Armor which is given to the strongest Clan leader by the Spirit Wolves of the Mountain which he just happened to live in. It was moonlight silver metal as was his chest plate, boots with brown fur paulderns. That with the Goraishi a claw that he had earned from his ancestor spirits so that he could avenge the deaths of his comrades and destroy Naraku. He was the powerfulest wolf demon in the land.

Kōri jumped forward and hugged Koga. Chi Tsuki my wolf demon came over by me and greeted me. His silver fur with black stripes on his face and tail had not changed in the year I had been gone. Chi hated the water so I was unable to take him with me whenever I was with Kōri in Mom’s realm. I rubbed his ears and then he shuffled to my side happily barking at Kōri to give him attention. Which she did, Chi and Kōri were more closely bonded, than Chi was to me.

"Why did you come down here?" I asked Koga.

He grunted, Dad's attitude had always gotten under my nerves as well as the way that Mom and he always argued within fifteen minutes of being around each other. How they were able to have me and Kōri is beyond me. Not to mention, whenever Mom visited Koga they would fight so badly that storm clouds would start to form over the mountains, as they were drawn to Mom’s power. "I need you to run an errand for me."

"You aren't able to do that yourself?" I asked him, watching as Kōri petted Chi on his belly and fur started to fly up into the air.

"No I'm not," Dad crossed his arms, "I have my territory to protect."

"Great job your doing," I nudged the body of Beard Face. "And what are these guys then? A workout for you?"

Koga's face started to turn red with anger "Yuki told me to tell you about the disturbance I had been feeling for the last day West of here. She came here and knew that you would be passing through here! And since I cannot go into Sesshomaru's land because of LaDeja’s promise that she will hunt me down if I cross into her land. So it's up to you, all you have to do is go through the forest near Sesshomaru’s Castle." Koga was getting pissed. "So go. Now. Before I remind you of your place boy." Kōri stood up, Chi at her heels; she pulled on my arm so that was a distance between me and Koga.

"Of course Father, we'll be on our way immediately." Kōri said to Koga, now pushing me away. She whispered to me "Leave it alone Brother. Not today…"

Kōri pushed me down to the cliff side, making me run into the canyon towards the river that lead west. Chi was right behind us. We had originally thought of going this way, but as we would have had to pass through this canyon. But it was filled with lesser demons and then through a forest with even more man-eating demons, we decided that the human roads were the best option.

Once we were running along the river that snaked its way through the canyon and out to the forest, I yelled: "What the hell Kōri?! Why did you do that!?"

Kōri had her hood off, her long black hair was trailing after her, as we ran as fast as only Wolf Demons could run. "Father was about to rip you're head off. He was asking us to do something very reasonable. There was no reason that we could refuse him, and besides if Mother asked this of him then it must be important. And we can’t just ignore Mother’s orders."

"Except he's a bas-" I started to say, as the river took a sharp bend around the walls of the Canyon, giving us a view of the Western lands and the forest that Koga had told us about.

"Enough Sora!! Stop acting like a child! You and Father have issues, I already know that. But for once, could you at least try not to pick a fight with him every time you see him!?" Kōri shouted at me, leaving me in shock. She rarely used my name, always calling me Brother and she rarely got after me. I heard Chi growl behind us, agreeing with Kōri. The ground stopped and the river that we were following turned into a waterfall flowing into the forest. We jumped off of the ledge, landing by a pool where the river started again. "What do you feel in here Brother?" Kōri asked me calmly, flicking up her hood again.

I let my senses expand and became a tool for the instincts that Koga had drilled into me since I was able to hold a sword. Most of the forest was filled with 'light' just the natural inhabitants of the forest, as well as spider, and other kinds of annoying, but lesser demons. At the western most part of the forest I could feel a cruel 'darkness' flowing out of it. "This way." I told Kōri, running as fast as I could. This was not a small thing. This was a greater demon, one that opposed even the powers of the Sea demons in Mother's domain. But unlike them, this one had a blood thirst that made my instincts tell me to run away. But unlike my father, I will never run away from anything. Because of my promise to Kōri, when I five and she was three; I will always be there to protect her from anything that threatens her. That had been after the first time all four of us had been together, Koga had been teaching me how to use my sword on one of the plains between the sea and his mountain. At sunset we were attacked by Humans and a pack of Red Bear Demons.  The humans later became the Red Bear Raiders. Mom and Koga drove them off, Koga only let them live because of Mom’s promise to Lady LaDeja that as long as she is with Koga she will never let him kill Humans just for the sake of killing. Mom made Koga swear to her that he would do just that: but he broke that promise a long time ago. Kōri had been hurt in the attack that night: her leg pierced by an arrow of demonic origin. I helped Mom clean the wound before it could heal so quick that it would become infected. That night when Kōri and I were sleeping in the clan’s cave, I promised her I would never let anything happen to her again. And so far I have kept my promise. As well as the promise to myself that I would never be like my Father.

The memory faded as we got closer to the greater demon I had felt, but now I could feel four other powers in what seemed to be a clearing, I heard the clanking of swords on swords. A little girls scream, and a man’s voice yelling at others to stay back. I heard a bow firing an arrow, it soaring through the air to hit nothing but the ground. I heard two people collapse, thudding onto the ground with more yelling. I looked over at Kōri; her eyebrows were together with worry. She could hear the battle too.

I burst through the wall of trees coming into a clearing that was filled with spider webs and burnt patches which dotted along the ground. Arrows, and daggers as well as two swords were stuck in the ground. I looked around seeing the darkness I had felt from 20 miles away. It was just a kid; he couldn’t be any older than me. He had long blonde hair and black horns. As well an umbrella. Before him was a little girl with gold hair was hovering over a body with silver hair. She had a quiver of arrows and at her side was a long bow. Another boy was on the ground; his black hair and blue robes were the only two visible things, as his face was planted in the ground. Only one was standing, his silver hair in his face and the crescent moon on his forehead labeled him as Sesshomaru's son. He was breathing heavily his weapon drooping to the ground. Kōri dashed in front of me towards the black haired boy with the blue robes. I stepped in front of Sesshomaru's son:
"Don't worry I've got this. Go and find help, mutt." I said, pulling out my sword. Chi was crouching in front of me ready to fight the unknown enemy. The kid with gold hair just watched us curiously, like a cat does while playing with a mouse.

"Get out yourself! Go back to fighting off the worms!" He barked back.

I turned around pointing my sword at him now, "WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?"

Sháka’s POV

‘What does this man mean by wait for our other two guests?’ I think watching the man with a glare “Hey! Are you picking a fight with me?” Shόki yells grunting through his teeth.

The man smirks “And what if I am? What are you going to do?” he asks Shόki growls

“I’ll kick your a*s that’s what!” Shόki yells

“As if a weakling like you could do such a thing?” he said with a small laugh

“Why you…” Shόki muttered

“Shόki stop! This is what he wants!” I yell but I was too late Shόki charged at him without thinking the man smirked he got the reaction he wanted from him Shόki swung at the man but he simply blocked it with his mere umbrella Shόki who was angry then blasted a burst of fire, the flames licked at the umbrella the man then twirled the umbrella it sent the flames at us but I blocked them with my own fire I lowly growled at my brothers rash actions and the fact that this man’s mere umbrella could block our fire, the fire of a demons! It wasn’t believable but I had to believe it since it was happening before my very own eyes. I turned to Jenna “Please dear cousin, stay here and shoot from afar while James, Shόki and I will attack up front” I asked she hesitated but nodded understanding our situation.

I looked at James and he nodded without saying a word, we then jumped towards the man attacking him from all sides and attacking him with our special attacks but nothing worked he was there for a second and gone before our own eyes he was behind Jenna

“Jenna!” James yelled running towards her she slowly turned to see the man behind her with an evil smirk he was going to attack her with his two bladed sword but James blocked the attack with his body, Jenna screamed his name both Shόki and I growled

“Damn it that’s it I’m killing this guy!” Shόki yelled I glared at him

“No! Don’t be rash! You can’t attack him blindly you aren’t thinking at all we must come with a plan!” yelled at him he growled lightly and nodded “Now, let’s do what father taught us…” I mumbled he nodded and teleported behind the man who was a bit caught off by surprise Shόki then clawed at him striking him in the side poisoning his side he growled loudly at the pain and cursed under his breath I teleported In front of him and slashed him across his chest, I was aiming for his head but he moved and sunk into the ground he was a bit slower than before but he still moved quickly we were all shocked to see him sink into the ground.

He then smiled and lifted his right hand up I felt my body move on its own I then began to attack Shόki on my own “W-What the hell are you doing Sháka?!” he asked “I-I don’t know he’s making me move!!!” I yelled grunting as I jumped attempting to hit Shόki, who blocked my attack Shόki snarled as he tried pushing me off his blade his eyes looked over to the man who was smiling.

Shόki looked at me I nodded “It’s ok…” I said lowly he nodded and teleported behind me slashing my arm off along with my side I coughed up blood, as more of my blood flowed out my wounds and I fell to the ground. The man looked upset and confused as to why I was still alive I noticed that my sword flew behind Shόki and as well as James where he was last standing before he was struck by that man. Jenna watched surprised by the man’s power as she stood there no one moved.

Shόki’s POV

I was breathing heavily watching holding onto my sword I was so distracted by this demon I didn’t notice three other demons come into the scene a man looking older than myself maybe by a year or so with tan skin with short blood red hair with bright green eyes, he was on the muscular side and had pointy ears, he reeked of wolf demons I knew well of wolf demons thanks to mother though she hated one in particular I couldn’t remember the name of the man at the moment, the man wore this green tunic with dark pants, as well as the left black shoulder guard and metal black boots, with his slightly torn gray cloak, he had a bright green sword pulled out ready to attack the man in front of us, I also noticed a rather large wolf in front of the man it had snow white fur and was glaring intently on the man with its dark brown eyes.

“Don’t worry I got this, go and find help” he said not taking his eyes off the man.

I lowly growled ‘Who the hell does this man think he is?’ I thought “Get out yourself I’ve got this, go back to fighting off worms!” I said yelling at him.

The Wolf demon growled and turned to me pointing his sword at me “What did you say?!” he asked yelling I could hear two small sighing; I looked to the corner of my eye to see a small girl wearing a black leather boots and a long grey cloak covering most of her fragile sender body all I could really see from her face was pale white skin with bright green eyes and black hair that slipped through her hood that was over her head covering most of her face, she too had a sword that was black and sheathed on her hip along with a bow and the quiver resting on the small of her back.

“Listen here boy we came here for your help!” he yelled at me.

I rolled my eyes “Oh please! As if I need your help!” I yelled, the girl walked over to the blonde demon where the wolf was, it was snarling at the demon and was keeping a close eye on the girl as if he was trying to protect her, the girl then began to shoot arrows at the man but the man simply blocked them with his umbrella, the arrows fell to the ground she looked a bit angered but brushed it off as she moved in her arms as if she was doing some tai kwon do suddenly water formed from the ground as I looked around I saw several plants wither ‘She can manipulate water? Amazing…’ I thought watching as she controlled the water with ease she attacked him as well as the boy I was arguing with who ran at the Demon with quick speed swinging his sword at him, the man looked unfazed it was the same attacks we pulled on him just with different people. As he dodged the man’s sword from cutting his head off he jumped from on tree to another and then sunk down in the tree’s shadow as he noticed the young girl’s water coming straight for him. The demon then emerged from the ground with a smirk “Great our guest have arrived!” he said with an evil chuckle.

I looked back at the two who were a bit confused but ignored him the man then looked at them with a bored expression “I want you two to attack me…” he muttered.

The wolf demon smirked “No worries I was going to…” he started and jumped toward him yelling “Anyways!” the man blocked the wolf demon who I was arguing with before with his double sided blade he still looked bored as if this was a game to him the girl attempted to use her water once again from the plants the man sunk back into the ground making the man stumble and almost fall he looked around trying to find him but the girls water hit him from behind he fell face flat and I busted out laughing

“Kóri!!! What the hell?!” he asked getting up quickly with a faint blush on his face from embarrassment

“I’m sorry brother but he moved, and you were in the way…” she muttered I at this point was grabbing onto my side laughing harder.

He growled and pointed at me frantically “Hey! Watch it pipsqueak!” he yelled I stopped and growled at him waving my sword at him frantically as well:

“Who you calling pipsqueak?! You can’t even hit the guy!!!” I yelled he growled as I threw out an intimidating laugh we were interrupted by what looked like shadow men attacking us I slashed through these things easily as well did the wolf demon, the young girl, Sháka, Jenna and injured James also attacking the shadow figures.

All of us out of breath looked up to the man: I smirked “Now, it’s time we finish you off!” I yell.

He smirks as he twirls his umbrella in his hand looking down at us “I’m sorry but I got all the information I need on you guys, Naraku will be proud of my information so until we meet again…” he says lowly I grunt and jump towards him ready to attack him head on, my sword comes down to him but he disappears before my very eyes, my sword clashes into a branch and breaks it in half as I come flying to the ground gracefully landing.
