Fate's Gift

Fate's Gift

A Poem by Sahreinah
"

Rather dark "poetry" or short story. I have no idea how to label this, really..

"

Alone in a world slowly falling apart,

forever wandering from shadow to shadow.

An eternal existence with no home,

searching for another wretched soul to bond with.

Lost hope leaves behind trails of invisible tears,

a heart with no rhythm awaiting the rising sun by the dark ocean.

Bleak moonlight finds its way through gloomy clouds,

a voice disturbing the sound of gentle waves.

Comforting warmth spread as glowing eyes met,

lonesome souls silently calling to one another.

Relishing in newfound feelings of purpose and longing,

they embraced and gave in to sin.

A taste of temptation gives way to madness,

soft growls the overture of salvation.

Abandoning clarity reveals true beauty,

a hunger awakening as black wings dance.

Malignant rupture of skin in frenzied passion,

sweet red dripping from the caress of darkness.

Drunk on crimson warmth,

screams of pained pleasure the requiem of desperate minds.

Ravaging unity sates murky souls,

feral lust exchanged for tainted perfection.

Pale silhouettes falling still in a sea of twisted love,

wicked hearts calmed and content.

Both sought an end to their eternity of suffering,

wishing for the light of dawn to burn away the pain.

Fate turned the curse into a blessing,

and the two souls became one.

Amazing journey led to very good ending.
"Both sought an end to their eternity of suffering,
wishing for the light of dawn to burn away the pain.
Fate turned the curse into a blessing,
and the two souls became one."
Many ways to find joy and peace. Few are easy. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
