Imprisoned

Imprisoned

A Poem by Sahar moonlight

Imprisoned

Imprisoned by thoughts

Thoughts that eat my mind

Thoughts that turns my day into night

A moonless night I try to escape

Imprisoned

Imprisoned by feelings

Feelings that press on my heart

Feelings that hold my every breath

Every breath from my chest try to escape

Imprisoned

Imprisoned by Dreams

Dreams that take me high

Dreams that show me a bitter now

A world I try to escape

Imprisoned

Imprisoned in me

and there is no way to escape

Imprisoned.
I captured the sight,
I imagined the night,
Instead of delight
What I found is of fright

Now that's all I can say. Nice wordings, good flow and harmonious rhythm. A very good piece. The picture that came with it just enhanced its beauty to be true.

Wow! It's so true. That's kind of how I feel right now. I just failed my math test (don't ask me how. I'm still trying to figure that out) and i feel imprisoned by life itself. I couldn't have read this at a better moment. Great poem, Natty.

Ooooh....I really feel the tight situation of the imprisoned side of you. Your words are just so vivid. Good work! Two thumbs up for your full-of-feelings piece of poetry!!

Your picture beautifully illustrates what you are saying . We imprison ourselves and there is no escape!

I like this poem, the repetition of 'imprisoned' creates that feeling of confinement..which I can relate to quite well. Often I think so much, I actually feel as if those thoughts are swallowing up my mind, and it's just really distracting, like feelings. As for dreams, I wouldn't mind drifting away for a bit once in a while, but again, very distracting, I get lost in those thoughts. Nonetheless, excellent job.

A horrid feeling indeed. Great expression of how true imprisonment feels when there really is no escape.

shows angst and despair. you have nowhere to go because you're imprisoned in your dreams as well as when you are awake. very sad poem.

Nice idea explained with good words, great energy and voice. BTW where you aiming for a stanza at the third "Imprisoned"?

Simple, but very effective imagery. The meaning is really deep and emotional.

Favourite lines "Imprisoned in me, and there is no way to escape". I was slighty anticipating a progression in the mood, but the sudden surprise back to the title was very interesting. A great read. Thanks!
