Bitter Truth

Bitter Truth

A Poem by Sahar moonlight

A lonely heart in me
Was stabbed by your care
Loving me as you see
turned my life to a nightmare

Every sweet word was a knife
In my heart cutting so deep
Trying to shine my life
But you took away my sleep

I lied to you to be with you
But my lies digged deep eating me
I tricked you I know I do
By that I've given my soul for free

Once telling the truth I decided
A bitter truth better than a sweet lie
I explained everything I hided
Hoping with that my pain will die

A truth I know very well
My heart can never do well
What was the need to tell
I moved willingly towards hell

It can never has a good ending
Whatever I try you will see
Pain and tears all I'll be having
Because the writer is me.........

The distraught hopeless feeling of forcing out a truth that was hidden by lies is a hard one to bring forth but as it is sometimes relief is not given but more sorrow. I have been here many times and now only truth falls from these lips. A well written poem and the sorrow tugs at ones heart.

Beautiful, it really tore at my heart to 'hear' such pain in your writing.

I like the ending because I think that we are all the writers of our own story, we are the ones who choose which actions to take and if that is the wrong one then we have no one but ourselves to blame. However, I also agree that lying for a good reason, isnt right but it isn't wrong either, especially if you feel the emotions expressed in this beautiful and heartfelt poem. Great job!

Good work....and a good question...Is it always better to always tell the truth about relationships ? I don`t know !

the end was fabulous...yes you were the writer to your fate!
but lies have an end always...this explains so beautifully the tangle of emotions between the guilt of lies and the fear of truth!

the work has a huge temptation...pathos...you put it in a page and leave it before someone...he or she will take it up and read and will relish the pathos etched in its every line.

Excellent work.

Loved the lines:
"I lied to you to be with you
But my lies digged deep eating me
I tricked you I know I do
By that I've given my soul for free"

This was such a magnificent poem with the perfect emotion, not too much and not too little. This is, in my opinion, your best piece I have read so far. Well done!
