Easter

Easter

A Poem by Sagemind

Easter

Although I am not a Christian

I still enjoy what Easter brings

Chocolate bunnies, the hidden eggs

About Easter, I might just sing.

But that would be horrifying

So I'll just spare you (aren't I kind)

The sounds of my gruesome wailing

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't mind.

I have a headache, I know why

It's cause I gorged on chocolate drops

When it comes to the tasty sweets

I'm afraid I can never stop.

If I go do some tiring work

Some chores and things that make you sweat

Then I'll forget about my head

But I'll eat more, on that you'll bet.
