The Witch's Poem

I wish you'd all just go away

Just leave me to enjoy my cry

For if you deign to disturb me

I promise that I'll make you die.

Infection doesn't change the fact

I'm scared, lonely, and very sad

Just don't shine such bright lights my way

For you, that will be very bad.

My brethren know not to get close

I'll rip their heads off where they stand

You have a bit more of a chance

Sneak past me, that's what I demand.

Don't shine those bright lights in my face

Just leave me to enjoy my pain

If you shoot, burn or startle me

I'll come at you just like a train.

That is pretty intense. I dig it. I can almost see a form of a witch crippled into a distorted figure in a shady corner of some alley way. Interesting out take on her behavior- I don't feel much witchcraft associated with the poem but instead some grouchy old woman not wanting to be disturbed, but rather isolated and observant of those around her.

Thanks for sharing!
