My Obsession

 

I am, truly, obsessed with video games. Not so much that I ignore my family, but pretty heavily. I'm also a pretty hardcore gamer. For instance, I've...

1. Broken blood vessels in my hands, sprained my shoulder and created calluses playing the drums on Rock Band.

2. Muttered the names of games I was excited about getting while dozing.

3. Played most games on the hardest difficulties and beaten them.

4. Accrued 7,910 Gamerscore on Xbox Live.

5. Beaten Dead Space, first time going through, on medium, one hour faster than the average gamer.

6. Blown off seeing friends and family so I could play my favorite games.

7. Been depressed when I had to go out and hike and shop for groceries instead of playing games.

8. Been so desperate to play a certain game that I bribed one of my friends with a different game.

9. Accidentally survived an entire level in a certain game, on the hardest difficulty, without being killed by an enemy.

10. Payed my parents money so when I went over my allotted time, I could still have my full time the next day.

11. Played Everlong by the Foo Fighters, on Expert, on Guitar Hero World Tour, and beaten it.

So, there you have it. I am, truly obsessed. And proud of it!
