I'm Back

I'm back to Writerscafe after a four-day break (my homeschooling version of a Christmas holiday)!

I'm Back

 

I'm back to working once again

No more Christmas presents to send

No more gifts underneath our tree

No more off time for you and me

No messages of joy and peace

Christmas is on a one-month lease

We take down lights and Santa toys

Toys that inspire girls and boys.

I mess with my video games

But the days after aren't the same

They're alloyed by the pox of work

These duties are not ones to shirk.

Yet working again ain't that bad,

In fact I have to say I'm glad

Working again is fine with me,

Cause then I get to make money!
