I'm Lucky

 

I'm luckier than all of you

That have to go to work,

As I look at my calendar,

I simply have to smirk.

Because I did some extra work

Plus it's the holidays,

I get a four-day weekend from

Tuesday on through Friday.

See, I've been homeschooled all my life

In a week, I've one day

To do nothing but lay around

No one else has a say.

But this year my father was nice

And gave me extra time,

Cuz after all, I've been real good

And I can still spin rhymes.
