I Love To DrumA Poem by SagemindIt has a similar name to another one of my written works, but is obviously very different.I Love To Drum
The truth is that I love to drum No matter where I go, On books and chairs and floors and knees Whether they're high or low. It seems with every day I drum My skill is seen to grow. I even took my drumsticks out And beat upon the snow. The sound of drumming seems to be Always pleasing to me, At dawn or dusk or day or night Me drumming's what you'll see. My fingers even make a beat Upon these poor frail keys, The scream (although I don't obey) "Stop that drumming now! PLEASE!" My parents have to tell me, "Son, "Please stop that drumming now. "You're shaking our nice new table "We're 'bout to have a cow!" So I write this warning to you I do so in much haste. Don't let me near your precious things I'll beat them into paste. © 2008 SagemindAuthor's Note
