A poem filled with nothing but awkward rhymes. Not meant to really mean anything, just wince-inducing, barely-made-it rhymes.

The Awkward Rhymes

I think all that we fear is death

But I think that death is the...best.

I want you to tell me the truth

But what's in your mouth? Is that....fruit?

What I want to eat is lizard,

But all we have is spiders...sizzled.

While we're all tied up in red tape

People are out there getting...maimed.

Your face is like a leather bag,

But what will solve that is a...bath.

I'm certain that you hate me now,

When you look at me you will...frown.

He asked me, "Where is that damn girl?"

I replied, "Sir, right thur, right thur."

Haha, despite being a rhythmic disaster, this poem made me laugh. It was very clever of you to put together all of those "almost" rhymes into a new piece of poetry.

Of course, since you took bad poetry as your basis in the first place, from a strict writer's standpoint, the quality is poor; however, I appreciate the poem's lunacy and obvious attempt at showcasing bad poetry.

Overall, definitely not publishable, but it was witty, zany and amusing all the same.

I actually quite liked it.

lol, amusing if nothing else. Is this what happens when idle minds are allowed to wander without supervision ?
