I Love To Write!

I've been away for a little while and just seeing Writerscafe again inspired me to write a poem about how much I love writing!

I Love To Write!

 

My fingers trace the paths of old

I type quite agilely,

My thoughts are fueled with weird ideas

My words are fueled with glee.

 

For writing is a favorite friend

That never quite gets old,

And strangely, he will stay with me

Even if he is sold.

 

Writing is like a triple threat,

For fun, for green, for fame.

Though he will always stay with me

He never is the same.

 

I laugh at things like writer's block

I scoff at lack of words,

For Writing tells me what to say

I just need to have heard.

When I say "green," by the way, I mean money (although I'm not quite that well known to be able to sell my work yet).
