You ChoseA Poem by SagelaThis was some pent-up feelings that needed to be let out.I know why you hate me, Dad, But it's not my fault. I didn't choose to be this way. In fact, Daddy Dearest, It's actually your own fault you hate me. YOU CHOSE to not put the condom on That one lustful night. Don't blame Mommy for what the doctor said About her not able to bear children. YOU CHOSE to take the chance That the doctor may be wrong. YOUr sperm CHOSE to enter Mommy's egg, And your sperm is a piece of you. YOU CHOSE to marry Mommy When she found out about me, Right before you two were about to break up. YOU CHOSE me to be a girl, Even if it was indirectly. YOU CHOSE to hate me For what is your fault. I'm not sorry for being alive, But I am sorry that I am your daughter. Dad, Don't blame me for who I am. Blame yourself. I only have one more thing to say to you, Father, And what I have to say is: F**k you
