It felt like Architecture

It felt like Architecture

A Poem by Wolfie

Walked to the second block

Took a look at the hanging clock

The wind picked up

The papers spread as I read them all

The stars on the ocean look like city lights

Blinking, twinkling, and I’m thinking of

Something new instead of you

Like how the sky is blue

Through and through all I do

Is wander round

My feet never leave the ground

The sound of rain stopped my thoughts

So I sealed it off in a plastic bag

Dragged my feet across the moon

And soon as the fires came

Let my soul give too

And it danced with the flames

For several years

Can you believe it never got burned?

Watched your children paint the sky a flame

Watched a dove began to fly

And the news reporter said

Stay inside lock your doors

The outside world is a dangerous place

Filled with impending doom

Well your grandmother

Spun her haunted loom

She died that afternoon

The public church held a grace

We took our time to leave the place

Then you said

“can you tell me where the flowers go”?

“can you tell me why the peddles fall”?
