In the Distance

This is how I feel about Summer.....I also wrote this because of how close my vacation is

In the Distance

The light is brighter

the sun shines farther 

and happiness lives longer.

People are more hopeful

and keep going

they never stop

the keeping looking

for a break.

Beyond the mountain

I can see 

that event I've waited for

where I'm finally able

to take off and soar.

We're getting justice

and the things we deserve

and our unnecessary pain

comes to a stop.

I know the days will be better

and the storms will move away

things are already easier

with each passing day.

I can see those brighter days

those days of joy and happiness

I can see them all just down the road
