The Song Of SilenceA Poem by Krishnaraja Sagar T SEvery moment I remember you, Memories come to my mind, a few. Every day I watch drops of dew, I remember, when you bade adieu. Now I watch the sky for you, And hear the mourning of a few, The cries of people in a queue, The Song Of Silence sung by you. We lived a great life, we did, But there were some things that we hid. And aftermath of all, you did bid Goodbye, surely you did, you did.... Things did get wrong between us, And of course, I did make a fuss. I know, it did affect the life of us, And finally, it all landed in a complete mess. Your Song Of Silence hits me hard, Like its, of course, too great, too hard, It hits me hard in my vineyard, And also, in times of some hazard. With you, I forget my time. But now, I heard the chime, Of the past time, forgotten time, About the fame, the mad old game. With you, the moments I conquer, With you, the sadness I suffer, But without you, a trillion I suffer, And your memories in my mind, buffer.... You taught me the Song Of Silence, Patience, slack and lack of violence. You taught me the lesson of benevolence, And made me quiet, dim and generous. Without you, I live my life, Without a work, without a strife. Now I tend to take a knife, Stab me hard, and take my life. You are my song, my song, And for you, I have waited so long, Now, in my heart, with a bang, I understood the silence of your song...
