Chapters

It was when I brought my tassel over to the left, the realization of a new journey has begun. Compelled to write the next chapter of my life, to leave behind the place I had fought to break free from for what seemed to be endless, though now is soon to be an indistinct memory. The only teachings I had taken with me were from those who had changed something deep inside of me and set a place into my heart. They had taught me not only about life; but how to look deeper into just life itself, how to be compassionate. I’ve been taught through consequence, through witnessing the wrongdoings of others actions, as well as those who had succeeded through the most tragic, which ignites me to do the same. I’ve been taught from the pain of being hurt, to being deep in love with my family and friends. This is only the beginning to fathom what it means to live.

I do believe life is like chapters. We will change goals and dreams often.

If we live without fear. We will learn. Better to be a willow tree and flow with the change. Good and bad than fall to things we cannot control. I have enjoyed your poetry. The poetry were worthwhile reads and good words used. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
