my cat won't leave me alone tonight.A Poem by Safrina
Stood in your mirrors
my image peeled bleed, scab me over and serve me sweet until I'd drink your wine, and my arms, turn to wires, feast on your bread, til the tissues in my skin drop in the kitchen sink and now doves, doves, are singing under the spring sun beaks full of dropped skin stretch over arms of wire and now doves, doves alive; electrified; now longer denied. © 2010 SafrinaAuthor's Note
