A Poem by Safrina

And it tastes such as

summer mornings salaam

and a shrivelled crisp

petals arm.

Tastes like the clock,

tick tock,

time bomb.

Salaam to your legs;

blasted,

and darkness undressed

into sunday best.

Left me a good mourning

kiss

and ate the crumbs of seventh day rest.

Cryptic is your style and you have it down pat. I like this poem because of what it alludes to but does not say.

Nice rhythm and flow. Great job!

I'm feeling dreadfully naive and childish as I read this, because I'm not quite sure what Salaam means, but I think that it's the Arabic word for peace? Bloody hell, I feel like an amateur.

The beginning is very catchy, seems to draw the reader right in, if it makes any sense.

I'm trying to figure out what the tone of the poem is, nevertheless, the title is incredibly intriguing. it seems misleading, the smiley face, because I see the words "time bomb" and "blasted", and "a shriveled crisp/ petals arm" That line doesn't seem exactly positive, so hm, I'm confused.
I have to dwell on this longer.

I'm an idiot, I'm sure.
