What Lies Within The Waters Of Contrast

Staring through crystal clear waters that become dark until you can see no more, what lies beneath those heavily lidded coats of dark? No one knows, it's unknown.

Hidden waters leading to empty vessels

Infinite time spaces that hold secrets

Fluid Water into jagged stone

Sound turns into silence that carries

Fluttering breaths and pumping lungs

Contrasting paths both sides of myself take

And beneath the clear surface lies ink

Forever Ink, Black ink that shifts and slithers

Within dreams of pumping heart and still body

Within Nightmares of skin and bone

One relies on the other, none are too pretty

On their own creating falsehood, together they create reality

But what lies within the waters of Contrast

Remains unscathed as we swim without water…
