LionA Poem by Sadie MaisonetThe voice of the people who need to be heard.
Lioness, the Queen of the jungle.
Yet, somehow is a kitten with a small roar in places that need to be heard. The lioness inside of me roars loud, loud enough for only me to hear. On the outside she roars like a kitten surrounded by lions. I am symba trying to roar and it never comes out. I want to be heard and no one wants to listen, They may hear but they don't listen. It goes in through one ear and out the other. The lioness inside is trying to get out and roar but no one seems to let it. Pushing it back in it's cage with pointy sticks and spears. They want it only away and away for good. When she tries to make her witty escape and they push her back in. What does it take for her to be heard? To make it prominent that she is alive? Her roar, her cries, She is never heard and it is sad, why? Even she doesn't know, but what can she do but go tot he end or her cage and roar? The caged lioness is waiting to get out, Once she does, she is never going in again. © 2013 Sadie MaisonetAuthor's Note
