Bipolar

Bipolar

A Poem by Sadie Maisonet
"

Something that can change your life dramatically.

"
There are certain things that bipolar can affect,
Body, mind, and soul. This is  a serious condition.
Why may you ask is this serious?
Each moment is fighting a war, a war against yourself.
Something you think so simple. Yet so hard.
Fighting a war against yourself is mentally killing you.
Your body weak from the fight,
Your soul not taking anymore of the pain you make it endure.
It tears you apart every moment longer you fight it, even if you don't.
It is a strain on life, a rode block in the way you need things to be.
When you have something that makes life even harder then it needs to be,
   You want to give up.
Giving up is never an option, Life is worth living and should be taken seriously.
The rode blocks help you learn a new lesson in achieving a goal,
A prompt goal set in your mind,
To get the weakness of the enemy and attack it.
To get them down and keep them there.
Without the upper hand you can't win, we always want to win.
I fight. Every day. To no end do I wish the war would end, yet is continues.
Never give up, the message I send to EVERYONE,
I don't believe in giving in to something that be controlled.
You just have to know how.
The war is the beginning of blue skies, worth every moment on it.
I promise, NOTHING can take away your will to be in control of you.
   Never let it!

I like the positive notions of this reflective piece, I feel my emotions out like seasons, some are as cold the shoulder they came in on, some are hot as the fire stoking the smoke signals to just walk away, telling me to live another day, and some are so, Luke warm that I don't even notice a change in brain-o-manic temperatures...either way, it's the journey that an emotion takes that sets apart black from gray, and blue to green. The way someone who loves you truly looks at you is acceptable of those fleeing hues these brain chemicals can...it's just good to have a companion to share the artistry... thanks for sharing your insight
