insomniac nights.

insomniac nights.

A Poem by maryam

i thought about seeking sanctuary in the nape of your neck. your honey voice enveloping my heavy lids. your finger tips dripping sleep into me. a luxury which i can not afford. i thought about being engulfed by your wings. vast enough their shadow petrify the insomnia out of me. exquisite enough they lure sleep in. i thought about your balmy scent overpowering my senses. about your delicate fingers picking my petal tears, stitching them to put them behind my ears. but if i stopped thinking to live my thoughts, before my words hurrytumble from my mouth, please kiss them away so we can meet at orion's belt.
