Who is LUCKY

by saddam husen

I saw a cute rich BOY

Holding his father’s hand-

Was in fancy and clean dress

He was happy with his presents;

I asked, “What is in your bag?”

He answered in joyful tone

“Toffees, chocolates and lots of cake”.

I saw a cobbler BOY

Holding brush and dye in his hand

Was in old and dirty clothes

He was calling peoples

I asked, “What is in your bag?”

He answered in satisfactory way

“Books, copies, pencil and pen”.

Thank you so much dear friend.
The contrast is stark, but aptly shows that wealth isn't in the coin, but in the value of our own choosing. You're poem plays out the contrast between rich and poor, yet calls into question what is the true wealth. Treats and trinkets may be materially alluring, but lasting wealth is found in our intellect.

"Peoples"? Did you mean "people"? And I'm not quite sure I understood what you were trying to say? Both boys are happy, although they're completely different? Please, let me know.

As for the poem itself, it's nice and fluent.
