STILL I THOUGHT

STILL I THOUGHT

A Poem by Saddam

What kind of beauty she was?

Still I thought.

What kind of heart she has?

Still I thought.

Beauty, so soft and so light

So fair and so sweet;

Heart, so kind and so hard

So dear and so quite.

Have she ever any kind of cross

Still I thought.

One day she turned to me and say

“Why are you so sad?

The world is nothing, feel happy and gay

Misery or sorrow is very bad.”

What happened that day and on?

Still I thought.

Follow days, I repeat her every act

“I am copying you”

Repeatedly one cloudy morning I react

“I am loving you.”

For propose, was that good cause?

Still I thought.

She turned round with tearful eyes

“This is not possible

There is one, who makes me nice

I am not your able.”

Why the world, that day, not become dark?

Still I thought.

Since that day, I am burning in hell

My heart is beating in pain

When I heard about her or tell

I used to cry, then.

Can she change her decision rock?

Still I thought.
