MY LIFE

MY LIFE

A Poem by Saddam
"

I tried not to heed But life followed me instead .

"

Once I met life

Ugly, with pain and suffering

Naked, having soul's wound ailing.

I tried not to heed

But life followed me instead .

I ran away, unaware of facts

And sure all the skillful tact

I thought I had left life for behind

But it was an illusion in my mind.

'Cos when I reached home and opened the door

The life was waiting for me.

It hugged, kissed and squad by me

And said "I'm your reality, accept me

For I'm what you made me."

Thunders crashed when I found

That I'd done nothing soothing

Beautiful, creative and sound .

And as I decided to start

These a while

I saw life gave me a sweet smile.

Perfect! This poem spoke to me in several different ways to the point where I almost teared up (I am a cry baby)! It brings me to a place that I didnt wish to be in as of right now since I have always ran away from my life...writing and doing other things but now that I have read this poem I am now inspired to take my past/life head on!
