Hell Is My Shell

Hell Is My Shell

A Poem by Sad Penguin
"

I don't understand why I act the way I do sometimes

"

Sometimes I just don't understand
Why I am, the way I am

I see others lively with color
I look inside
To find something duller

Nothing special
Nothing worthwhile
Though peers tell me, I have a reason to smile

I've helped people in need
Even though my mind rejects the very same seeds
Through perseverance lies the key
Eventually they'll all die and I'll be left at sea

I Focus too much on what if's

My hell is my shell
It burns
It hurts

It reminds me of home
It reminds me, I'm all alone....

Oh man... wow... this is.. really depressing and I can relate so well.
Quite a deep write. Sometimes a part of our inner self will hide from the happiness of others.. there's something that makes that part of you grieve in a way..
This is a very strong write! I love it!
