Dear Brandi

Dear Brandi

A Poem by Sad Penguin
"

About the one positive experience I've had with a girl

"
I remember your face
Drenched with perfection
When I saw you, I was at a loss
You called me sweetheart
I held you dear like a cross
Anytime I saw you
I'd wave till you'd notice
You were my first love...
You didn't feel the same
You still treated me better than any I could name
I'm eternally grateful
In a world of cruelty
You helped me remain human
One day I asked you to the dance
I was so scared
The kids said my arms were flailing
Even though I was unaware
You said yes
I was so happy
Then you gave me a letter
That said no
Its okay
Even though you told me no
You went to a party instead
One day you walked up to me
Helped turn my world on its head
You tugged on my shirt
I turned around
You asked me to dance
I was anything but let down
I said, "It must be my birthday!"
You laughed
It was easily one of the best days I've ever had!
I've never forgotten you
Nor ever will
Thank you so much
In a world so cruel
You have the magicians touch
