Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror

A Poem by Sad Penguin
"

My weight problems

"
Mirror Mirror
on the wall
why does my sight
make my flesh crawl

My image always changes
Usually for the worse
I want to vomit
Maybe call the nurse

No matter how much I puke
Or refuse to eat
When I see you
It spells defeat

You’re so cruel
In every way
Even if I break you
You’ll curse me for days

Leave me alone
Stop teasing me
I’ll starve myself if I have to
No matter what it takes
I will defeat you

Read your bio and I agree that writing is a wonderful way to express your inner emotional life ... Even though Mirror deals with a serious subject and emits a edgy harrowing mood, I think there's a slight TOUCH of humor that comes through ...
A mirror surely does give us a harsh look at our physical being but it rarely reflects who were really are... Thanks for expressing yourself and keep writing. I find it's therapeutic in so many ways ... Good job!
