In My Darkest Hour

In My Darkest Hour

A Poem by Sad Penguin
"

An idea I had about Hell.

"
In my darkest state
A light flickers
Even though I no longer see
I feel your presence
Its this presence that allows me to breathe
Why I continue to exist
I feel around my cell only to discover shards of glass
At my feet, snakes consume the floor
The hissing is deafening
I cover my ears to no avail
Then I hear your voice clearly for the first time
The most beautiful voice I've ever heard
It is with this voice that I beg for forgiveness
It is with this voice that I plead my case....
It is with this voice that condemns me
From such a seductive call to frightening laughter
The growling of demons fill the air
With the shedding of tears
The nightmare begins

Author's Note

Sad Penguin
I have never submitted my poetry for review before.
I apologize for poor grammar, and any other errors my writing may contain.

Because I've been getting positive feedback from the few people I've shown my poetry to, I was curious how they'd do online.

Thanks for reading and I very much appreciate it!

It is okay, it shows what you're going through in life. Nicely written too, don't be afraid of other people's opinions, as it is only a choice you can make to either follow them or now. and I don't think many people here are gonna rage at a poem, I assure you. Keep Writing! This is nicely done!
