Tick TockA Story by Alicia TNot a very good story but feedback would be appreciated.I lay down on my bed after a long day. School, tuition, homework, homework, homework. I don't think there's anything that could possibly be more boring than the day I had today. Tick Tock. I looked up. The clock read 9:47. I laid back down, mabye a book could help my fall asleep. I lifted up my pillow, revealing Red Herring by Annie Blacktill - my favourite author. The light was closed so I pulled out a reading lamp from the bedside drawer.
Tick Tock. I paused on the word I was reading. Had I forgotten something? Oh right! I'd agreed to help my younger brother, Andy with his homework. I groaned as I sat up on my bed and threw off the comfort of my blanket. I left my room and pushed open the door of Andy’s. “Took ya long enough,” he said with a smirk on his face. After an hour, we agreed that it was time to wrap things up. And by wrap thing up, I mean leave Andy to tidy up while I catch forty winks. Then clock now read 11:13. Ugh. If only there was a way to fall asleep easily. I closed my eyes. Just count sheep, Haylee. One, two three, four… By the time I’d reached 23 I’d lost interest and forgot the sheep. Tick Tock. I turned onto my right and pulled the blanket higher up. Tick Tock. My eyes flicked open. If this clock didn’t shut up soon I swear… I stared at the clock as it continued mocking me. Tick Tock. Tick Tock. I sighed, there was nothing I could do but try not to lose my insanity against the clock’s metallic clicks.
