Crazy

Crazy

A Poem by Susan S.

Yes. I. Am. Crazy crazy crazy and I’m winter
I wear the blacks and whites and reds and greens and blue.

They. Say. You're. Crazy crazy crazy and I love you
And now I’m wond’ring just exactly what to do.

They say the crazy ones are always, somehow, better.
They say I’m crazy.  Well how about you?

I say the people who can say that they are crazy
Give me the crazies and I don’t know what to do!

They. Say. You’re. Crazy crazy crazy and you love me!
‘Cause I wear
blacks and whites and reds and greens and blue.

Yes. I. Am. Crazy crazy crazy and I love you!
And now I know that you are crazy for me too!

They say I'm crazy. Well how about you? ------------------------- I love this madness! How boring life is without creation. I think all mad people have an immense imagination, that's what life is about to see it in all its layers and combinations, it is about creating. All the others who are not mad - can't create. They are actually bored and need the creators to make their life colorful; and they need artists to make them feel alive. I adored this poem. So wonderfully crafted and true. And yes: having imagination makes a person a charming one and interesting; I understand that the man you speak of in your poem is crazy falling for such a woman. hmmm great work!

I certainly hear the music when I read this. I liked the way you made it clear which words got a full beat by putting a period after them. It really helped to catch on to the rhythym. It's great to write this sort of poem, isn't it, because it carries the author with it? And the phrases flow onto paper so easily. I'm fond of repetition when it drive home a point or, in this case, when it drives the rhythym. I got a kick out of this. Thank you for posting it.
