A little late

A little late

A Poem by VRS

I’ll probably be a little late to tell you this
But I love you more than I could ever love anyone

And I don’t need you to love me always
Just let me know that you are by my side when there’s no one

I don’t expect a lot  of love and affection
Just one prolonged moment in time with you
And just one more hug
One last kiss
And one last time when I lock my hand in yours

And I hope this never ends
I want this from my heart’s core
Because I think it’ll never end
If I add up the one more’s

There’s a part of me that longs for you
And clings onto that last bit of hope
For I don’t know when would we meet next
But I’ll be standing there
Waiting for you to come and smile at me
And my heart skips a beat
As if it’s the first time
And my mind plays a silly trick on me
Fooling me to believe you’re mine

And while I pull myself back to reality
Devoid of all delusions and false hopes
But still a part of me lurks from behind
Pulling me to imagine a fate
Where we stay for another minute together
And spending even a split second with you is heavenly enough
To remind me of the fact that it’s you who has a place in my heart now and forever

I wish for my heart to be strong enough
Strong enough to tell you what it wants to
And I bother for my mind to weaken
Weaken at the thought of boxing them up at the sight of you

But either of them cant be done
for i lack the power from within
And that’s life, one that  is tragic

And I’m probably very late at telling you this
But I love you more than I could love anyone

And that’s because you are magic
