You threw a rock of opportunity

In the pond of my life

The ripple effect that it created

Helped me to become educated

When I saw no way out and felt cornered 

You motivated me to move forward

When I needed you the most

You came to my defense 

My gratitude for this is immense

You're like the wind

I feel your presence always

Having my back when I need a little push

A gentle brush on my cheek

When I feel fragile and weak

You were the rays of sunshine

When my world felt dark and grey
