Tears Of Words

Tears Of Words

A Poem by Lala

I sat alone
With my thoughts by my side
Before I could hide, I cried
The tears kept rolling
Each drop a word
That I wanted to say
Instead I wiped the sentences away
The handkerchief soaked and wet
With the words I never said
I would tell you how I wept
But it would hurt you to the core
It would break your soul
And that's never my goal
So instead the conversation kept flowing
Upon my cheeks it kept going
Without you ever knowing
