Field Of Love

Field Of Love

A Poem by Lala

I wanted to pluck your heart
From the field of love
A selfish desire
Based on a loving thought
Your heart I wanted to harvest
Right out of Cupid's garden
But I didn't continue
Thought of an issue
Figured I'm not good enough
To be in love with someone
I'd be a storm and a blizzard
Instead of being your sun
So your heart in my hands
Would've withered
Just like plucking a flower
And putting it on display
Your heart would decay
So for your protection
I will watch it blossom
From my field far away
I won't be there every day
But you won't be forgotten
I know I'll visit often
Just trust me when I say
I'm not good enough to stay
