Candle

Candle

A Poem by Lala

You're like a candle my dear
Sometimes you are burned up
Your inner fire is dying
The candle wax at the bottom
Represents your happiness
All of it has fallen
Once a candle, now nothing
Just like the hope you have forgotten
But what I was thinking
Instead of seeing that as a problem
As a sign for quitting
View it as a new beginning
A fresh opportunity for living
When the candle has stopped dripping
Maybe it's another chance it's giving
Grab the scraps of your wax
Reflect, collect and connect
Rebuild your fallen pieces
Don't see yourself as defeated
It doesn't have to be perfect
But remaking your own being
Might just be the freedom
You didn't even know you needed
This candle was only an example
An attempt of a positive angle
For you, whose so much stronger
Than what you think you can handle
So my little phoenix it's time
For you to rise from your ashes
To recognize your own magic
To finally realize your potential
Because sweetheart, you're something special
