Our Movie

Our Movie

A Poem by Lala

Looking at your face
Is like watching a movie
But instead of fiction
I see recognition
It's like watching my feelings
On a real life television
Filled with flashbacks
Making my heart relapse

Your eyes reflect the scenes
I now only see in my dreams
Like two mesmerizing screens
Showing our episodes and chapters
Filled with our talks and laughter
Back when it used to matter
That in each other's life
We were the main actor

So maybe now you understand
I look at you less than before
Because I don't want to watch
The movie we made anymore
Since every time that I do
I'm reminded that I can no longer
Be the main character for you

As Tina Turner put it, that's the way love goes.
