Final Farewell

Final Farewell

A Poem by Lala

Oh the memories in which I dwell
Of the last time we met
When it was you I looked at
When I didn't know yet
It would be our final farewell
That there wouldn't be more days like that
How I'd never see you in the same way again
Oh if I only could've known back then

I would've embraced it better
I would've stayed longer
I would've been more grateful
I would've been more present
I would've enjoyed every second
I would've been more at rest
I would've hugged you tighter
I would've simply never left

To do all of this still is my desire
And even when I want you to know
I could never tell you though
I guess that's why it's required
For me to be a writer
With you unintentionally
Being the one who got me inspired
