Voices

If I think about how

My soul was at peace

When I heard you speak

I'm so glad that voices

Are something unique

Because if I heard yours

On a different physique

My heart would remember

My thoughts would repeat

Memories and emotions

I tried my best to delete

So I'm glad that voices

Are one of a kind

Because I began forgetting

The way yours sounded

But I know in the back of my mind

If I heard it again

My feelings would return

When I tried so hard 

To leave them all behind
