Your thoughts used to sing to me

Serenade songs that were my remedy 

With your voice being

Their peacefully paired melody

It could take away my sadness

And calm all of this worldly madness

Your thoughts used to sing to me

I listened to them endlessly

Connected to you mentally

Got lost in your complexity 

An escape that felt heavenly

I used to know all the words

To the lyrics of your mind

But now you are an unfamiliar song

To which I cannot sing along
