My Storm

My Storm

A Poem by Lala

I whispered your name
Softly but just loud enough
For the wind to pick it up
And carry it far away
Hoping it would dissect and divide
That it would hide all of your letters
And scatter them outside
I didn't care where
I just wanted peace and quiet
Wanted my head to be silent
And therefore I decided
You shouldn't be in there

So I whispered your name
And the wind took my voice
Traveled around the world
Carried it across every sea
Only for it to bring your name
Right back here to me
Little did I know
The silence in between
My whisper and its return
Would only make your name transform
From just being bad weather
Into my most devastating storm
