Write About You

Write About You

A Poem by Lala

If I had to write about you
I think of contradictions
Of endless possibilities
With relentless constrictions
Of mesmerizing mysteries
With surprising definitions
Of harsh realities
With beautiful fictions

If I had to write about you
I wouldn't know where to begin
You're my savior and my sin
You're my loss and my win
You're the goosebumps on my skin
You're the butterflies within
You're where my mind is
And where it has been
You're my nothing yet my everything
You're my now and what I reminisce
You're what I have
But also what I miss

If I had to write about you
I wouldn't know how to commence
You're the opposite of my reason
But also my common sense
You're an invasion
But also my defense
You're what I fight for
But also what I fight against
You're my present
But I hope never my past tense

So I wrote this about you
Still not having a clue
Where I should start
Still not able to really see
What you actually mean to me
But I do know where to end
Even if it's the truth I try to bend
What I know in my heart
The only time I am at peace
When my sorrows decrease
Is when our souls blend
And for that, you're a godsend
