Love Effort

We want to know love and love to know us

It is a topic we often discuss

It is supposed to be unconditional

But it has turned into something traditional

Something taken for granted

Instead of always feeling enchanted

Shocked when their love is dying

But that's because people stop trying

Their love starts to become static

Instead of feeling like magic

So I wonder how love will truly be for me

If it will branch out and grow like a tree

Will it develop and always be redefined

Will you remain interested in the depths of my mind

When we have disagreements and disputes

Will you still remember my positive attributes

I hope you will always put in effort to retrace

Why you fell in love with me in the first place

We don't have to love each other every single day

I just hope you won't allow our love to ever slip away
