A Different YouA Poem by LalaThe moment I walked through the door I noticed you were not there anymore The atmosphere was not very pleasant Because you were no longer present Confronted with an emotionless physique As I placed a kiss on your cold cheek The body I saw no longer belonged to you The person left who I once knew The expression on your face was gone As the light of your life was no longer on Although I am okay with this inevitable end I wish it was your life I could extend I wish it was you who I could hold And listen to the stories you once told I wanted to hear your soothing voice But I no longer had that choice I wanted to feel your safe embrace But you were no longer in this space I missed you then and I miss you still Missing you I always will © 2017 LalaReviews
