Sleep Thinking

Sleep Thinking

A Poem by Lala

I think a lot before I sleep
Before I know it, I'm in too deep
The world rests and silence is all around
But at night my thoughts make the most sound
I make plans for the next day
I practice things I want to say
I ask myself a lot of questions
And for every scenario I have suggestions
I have endless what if's play in my head
My mind is gone whilst my body is stuck in this bed
Thinking about what I am and what I wish to be
What is and what I wish to see
Darkness appears when the sun says goodbye
Every issue I start to magnify
So I began thinking that in order to fall asleep
I need to count my blessings instead of my sheep
