Reading My Writing

Reading My Writing

A Poem by Lala

Listening to the sound of my writing pen
Hearing the ink flow again and again
Watching the transformation of a blank page
I am a writer and this is my stage
I am the audience, the only spotlight
The only witness of the moment I write
No eyes will see the artistic process
Of creating something out of nothingness
No mind will think the same thoughts as mine
No hand will fill this paper line after line
My deepest feelings will be exposed
To whoever reads what I have composed
My far-fetched imaginations are displayed
So letting others read my work makes me afraid
I have ideas and through the ink they bleed
But I cannot control your mind when you read
The words are open for interpretation
You might hate it or give a standing ovation
Whatever you feel will be real
And of poems that is the appeal
Thinking about this is enlightening
But most of all I find it frightening
So when you read the pages that are now filled
With words and phrases I have build
I hope that in the end
It is my deeper thoughts you will comprehend
