Why I Write

Why I Write

A Poem by Lala

I write to explore worlds other than my own
It allows my mind to get out of its comfort zone
I write to get lost
To walk on paths I never crossed
To tell adventures I will never face
So that for a moment I can leave this place
To transcend to a different sphere
Where nothing is confusing and everything is clear
When I write I see the pictures in my head
And translate them into words instead
Making my mind available
And perhaps to some it is relatable
I write about others more often than not
Which led me to the thought
That maybe my true reasons for writing
Is to avoid my own struggles I'm fighting
Because in reality when I write, I simply flee
Since whenever I write, I am free from being me

So relatable. "When I write I see the pictures in my head
And translate them into words instead" I love this phrase. And the ending lines are composed perfectly. Great piece !
