Appreciating You

Appreciating You

A Poem by Lala

This poem starts without an end
Begins without knowing where to attend
Unsure about what I want to mention
Or to what I should pay attention
I began writing without having a clue
What I wanted to say to you
I'm pondering and staring at the wall
Because I don't even know why I'm writing this at all
I'm just thinking about who you are
How you feel close yet you are so far
Both in distance and with your mind
I feel that you're confined
You have shown me pieces here and there
And it's those moments I treasure because they are rare
Yet overall you remain hidden
Like sharing certain thoughts is forbidden
At times you have tried
Yet eventually you always hide
But it doesn't matter one bit
Because what matters is your whit
Your sweetness, your style
And how you never seize to make me smile
You're silly and you have your quirks
I don't know what you do but it works
So although I know you'll always keep your distance
I'm glad I know of your existence
