Love Addicts

The world holds many junkies

Distributed across different countries

Some crave cocaine

Shot up in their vein

Others need xtc or lsd
And some simply want all three
But one addiction is shared by us all
Something that eventually makes everybody fall
One nobody wants to get rid of
It is the addiction called love

Existing in many shapes and forms
Not confided to any preconceived norms

At times it hurts and makes you cry

Yet we keep looking for the next high

Some types are destructive

Causing us to be less productive
Others transform you in the best possible way
Making you verbalize things you thought you'd never say

It releases hormones inside your brain
Causing effects everybody wants to attain
Adrenaline, dopamine and oxytocin
Are some ingredients of this love potion
So from addicts we are not that far apart
Because in reality, we are all junkies by heart

The mania of love has no prescription to cure, yet we all eagerly agree dose would be a good thing. Just a small dose though, don't want to overdo it and suffer those damn withdrawal symptoms again. Then it's got you.
